The Kindle seems to be the newest rage in the tech world. I have been lusting after one for a while… Let me explain. The Kindle is an electronic device from Amazon. It is a library which needs no computers, cables or syncing. It literally has thousands of books! It is like an electronic book with a paper view. With a Kindle, Goodbye textbooks! Goodbye giant back packs! Goodbye bookshelves? It is easy to carry around (fits into a handbag) and easy to manage. It is wireless and you can even read your newspapers on a Kindle!!!
So when I saw that fuelmyblog.com with Perpetuity Direct were offering a Kindle as a prize to bloggers all over the world, I was hooked. The que
stion is:
If you were loaned $25,000 today by Pertuity Direct, what type of online business would you launch?
Perpetuity Direct is a social lending network that rewards good borrowers with great rates.
I have already launched a online business; creating and running blogs for people using self-hosted wordpress. I also manage e-newsletters for people. However, if I was loaned $25, 000 by Perpetuity Direct, I would build on that business.
In Nigeria, we have a serious power problem, so anyone who wants to do business online needs a backup plan. I will use part of the loan to get a generating plant. I will also look for a reliable web server, this could be quite expensive.
I have done a survey and have discovered that there is actually a market for this business in Nigeria. There is a lot of emailing and online activity. People love blogs and have a lot to share on their blogs but they do not have the first idea of how to blog. And even those who may know, are too busy. This is where I will come in. I will buy purchase domain names for them and get them reliable webhosting and even run the blogs for them – posting their articles on the blog when they are too busy to do that themselves.
